Members, Greyville gave us a very useful and competitive results day.
The card had some tough races, especially through the feature-race section, but the worksheet still produced a number of strong results. The positives were that our Strong Bet won, our Next Best won, our Best Bet ran 2nd, our Safe Place Bet ran 2nd, and several value/danger runners came through strongly.
This was not a perfect card, but it was a good worksheet-reading card. The sheet found a lot of the right horses, especially in the cover and value lines.

Pressure Point was our Strong Bet and main early control runner.
He got the job done and gave us a winning start to the card.
Next Best WON
Race 8 — Quickstepgal
Quickstepgal was our Next Best and strong late anchor.
She won the Grade 2 Tibouchina Stakes after a close finish and an objection, with the result standing.
This was one of the strongest calls on the card and a very good result for the worksheet.
Best Bet Ran 2nd
Race 4 — Royal Sword
Royal Sword was our Best Bet and main Pick 6 banker.
He ran 2nd behind Klein Karoo.
The winner was included as a cover runner, but Royal Sword being beaten meant the main banker did not land.
Safe Place Bet Ran 2nd
Race 2 — Vaans Spirit
Vaans Spirit was our Safe Place Bet and ran 2nd.
Saint Brigid was our main selection and won the race, so Race 2 turned into a very good worksheet result.

Kazenoyoni and World Series were also respected in the worksheet and ran into the result.

This was a serious feature race and the worksheet correctly warned that it should not be played too skinny.
Our main selection was Eight On Eighteen, but Questioning was included in the wider structure and won.
Dave The King was our Outsider Bet but did not deliver.
Result: Winner found in the wider cover, but the main selection and outsider call were beaten.

Quickstepgal was our Next Best and main late anchor.
She won the race and gave the worksheet one of its best results on the card.

Race 9
Winner: Zeitz
Our main selection was Field Marshal, but Zeitz was included in the wider cover.
I Salute You and Jp’s Palace also ran 2nd and 3rd, giving the race a decent shape from a worksheet point of view.
Result: Winner found in cover, but the main selection was beaten.
Race 10
Winner: Chara Sands
Our Value Bet was Summer Winter, who ran 2nd.
Chara Sands won the race, while Summer Winter still gave us a good value/place result.
Result: Value Bet ran 2nd, but the winner was not the main call.
Exotic Result
The exotic structures were hurt by Race 4, where Royal Sword was used as the main banker but was beaten by Klein Karoo.
That was the biggest turning point of the card.
The worksheet did find plenty of winners in the cover lines, but when the main banker gets beaten, it becomes very difficult for the bigger exotics to convert properly.
The positive side is that the worksheet had a lot of the right horses alive:

This was a strong worksheet-reading card, even though the main banker did not win.
The key lesson from the day is that the value and danger lines were very important. The worksheet found some excellent value runners, and members who used the cover properly would have had a much better chance of staying alive through a difficult card.
We take the positives, review the banker decision, and keep improving the system.
You can never go broke making a profit.
