Vaal 28 May 2026 — Daily Punter Results
A tough day at Vaal for the Daily Punter Club worksheet.
The card looked workable before racing, with the stronger views coming later in the meeting, but the results showed again how quickly a card can turn when the banker-type runners do not land and a few bigger-priced horses come through.
It was not one of our strongest result days, but there were still some positives, especially with the Strong Bet landing and several winners being found in the cover lines.
Main Highlights
Strong Bet WON
Race 4 — War Reporter
War Reporter was our Strong Bet and delivered.
This was the best result of the day from the worksheet and gave us a proper winning main call.
Race 2 Winner Found
Race 2 — Anahita
Anahita was our top selection and won.
This was a good early result from the worksheet and one of the cleaner reads on the card.
Race 3 Winner Found
Race 3 — Sky Pilot
Sky Pilot was our top selection and won.
This was another strong worksheet result and gave us a good start to the Pick 6.
Race 6 Winner Found
Race 6 — Crystal Grove
Crystal Grove was included as one of the main dangers and was promoted to first after an objection.
The race was tricky, but the winner was still found in the cover line.

Our Next Best was Geostorm, who finished 5th.
Result: Winner missed from the main public view, although Geostorm stayed on for a minor placing.
Exotic Result
The exotic structures were hurt badly when the main banker, Lost For Words, was beaten in Race 7.
The earlier part of the card gave us some good results, with Anahita, Sky Pilot, and War Reporter all winning from the main worksheet view.
However, Race 7 and Race 8 made it very difficult to convert the exotics properly.
The lesson is simple: when the banker does not land, the whole structure becomes harder to convert, even when the worksheet gets several races right.
Final Summary
Overall, the Vaal worksheet produced:
Strong Bet — WON
Race 2 Top Selection — WON
Race 3 Top Selection — WON
Race 4 Strong Bet — WON
Several winners found in the cover lines
Valieva ran 3rd from the Extra Value Watch list
The negatives were:
Best Bet — Beaten
Next Best — Only 5th
Value Bet — Unplaced
Outsider Bet — Unplaced
Race 7 and Race 8 were the main damage races
This was a mixed card. The worksheet had some good reads and landed the Strong Bet, but the late-card banker did not deliver, and the final race produced a difficult result.
We take the positives, learn from the misses, and keep improving the system card by card.
You can never go broke making a profit.
